“Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you…and pray to the Lord on its behalf…........” Jeremiah 29:7
Pastor Bob Emrich

In those simple words the principles for living as God’s people and as good citizens of Maine are clearly stated. While there are many applications for those principles, the purpose of The Maine Jeremiah Project is to focus on those that affect public policy and contemporary culture,

Without compromising the identity, vision or mission of the individual local church; we are assisting in the application of biblical principles and historical precedents to Maine culture.

The Maine Jeremiah Project supports the sanctity of life, traditional family values and religious freedom in Maine.

Our intention is to contribute to the well being of Maine by encouraging prayer and action as well as by offering insights gained through study of Scripture, American history and the needs of society. We have tried to simply our common mission by listing the following objectives:

1. Encourage informed prayer.
2. Educate regarding Biblical principles and historical precedent.
3. Equip people to influence public policy.
4. Enlist appropriate action to influence public policies..

Christians have been misled (by religious as well as non-religious leaders) about our role in the influence of public policy. Much of what is commonly believed is clearly inaccurate when measured by Biblical or historical standards. more>>
The Maine Jeremiah Project is one attempt to fill that void. It has been taking the form of a grassroots coalition of social conservatives, organizations and churches with each maintaining their own separate identity and mission. Our primary focus is on education, equipping and then enlisting. We believe that Christians and other Social Conservatives should be equipped and motivated to speak for themselves instead of expecting others to speak for them. We believe that we can contribute to the well being of our communities and our State......God bless.
